The Power of Speaking God's Word: Authority, Promise, and Transformation
Speak the word only." This is what the servant under the government of the Roman Empire, a general and a commander in the army, spoke to the Son of God. Jesus Christ is the author of life, through Him all things were created and he sustains everything by the power of his word. The commander who could recognise the highest authority says to Jesus, the head of the church, "Speak the word only, and my Servant will be healed." And as Jesus released the word" " Go, your servant is healed," it was done there from that moment. His servant was getting well, was well and he was healed. This man under the Roman Empire, soldiers in the army understood the authority.
Jesus confronts Satan in the wilderness during His 40 days of trials with the word. And during his three and a half years of ministry on the earth through the word of God. He defeated Satan by speaking the word. God set the same pattern for his children. Jesus expects the same thing of his disciples. He planned for us to confront our enemies by speaking the Word of God. Speaking the word of God into destiny, into the future, into the situation. Align that situation with the word of God. In the days of Elijah, he was speaking the word of God and it was done. When he prayed, the heavens stopped giving rain. And when he prayed, the sky released the rain. We are to speak the word ofBGod through the power of the Holy Spirit. God sent forth his word. The word is Jesus Christ on the earth. And none of his words will ever return to him void. It was also in the days of the prophet Samuel, when in his generation, as he was a judge and a prophet in Israel, none of the words that God was speaking through him returned void. He has planned for his words to bring forth the purposes of God, the will of God, and the mind of God. This is what he's planning for us in his word and the spirit, speaking forth. The word and the spirit, there are many talking about this. Yet the Word is logos, and spoken becomes Rhema. In other words, something happened between logos and rhema. It is the Spirit of God, the breath of God, the meditation of God, the will of God, the Holy Spirit, the very breath of God speaking the word forth. Jesus said in John 6:63, "The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life." Those words are a mighty weapon driving out all our enemies align the circumstances with the word of God. As you speak the word through the meaning and the power of the Holy Ghost, it will be as God promised, for all of his promises Christ is yes and amen. It will be like it was in the days of Jeremiah the prophet, that the word of God was coming out of his mouth mouth was like a fire, consuming the enemies of God. It is necessary to see the word of God in context. It is an abomination and grieves the Holy Spirit when she was me ‘pluck out like feathers from the chicken words of God out of context and try to suit our thoughts and our doctrine’ ever use the word of God out of context. Read the verses, a few verses before, at least five verses after and you will have a context. You will have the mind of God on this matter. You will understand the will of God. You wouldn't use the word of God out of context. As you speak forth God's word, it will go forth like a hammer that crushes and breaks down the rock. It breaks obstacles and strongholds that have been dwelling in the hearts and minds of the people through Satan's planting.
‘Is not my word like a fire, says Jeremiah. Is not like a hammer that breaks rock into pieces? God's word is his divine will and purpose. God's word, is his plan to conform and transform through the power of the Holy Spirit into the expressed image of Christ's likeness.
When you speak the word only, signs, wonders, and miracles will follow you. God will confirm His work with accompanying those signs, because the Spirit of God puts His signature upon His Word saying in Christ ‘yes and amen’, and manifesting the presence of God through the power of His Word. This is our inheritance as the children of God, to live the life of God through Christ as the sons of God, being trusted with the same power and the same authority that Jesus has. From the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve fell until the 2ne coming of the Lord Jesus ‘the kingdom of God was suffering violence, and the violence was taken by force’. There was a confrontation and clashes between the two kingdoms, the kingdom of darkness driven by Satan; liar, deceiver, twister, destroyer, killer, and thief. And the Kingdom of light, where the prince of the peace, the Light of the world, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, Wonderful, Counselor, Almighty God, Prince of peace, the Everlasting Father. And the violence was taken by force. That force is a force of Resurrection. The same force that raised Jesus Christ from the dead. It was the same force that empowered His early apostles. On the day of Pentecost, when Jesus baptized 120 with the Holy Ghost and with fire, and they went forth about doing good like He went and healed all that was oppressed by the devil, raising the dead, healing the sick, bringing deliverance for all who are oppressed, preaching the Gospel of the kingdom of God everywhere. And God was accompanying His word with signs and wonders, divine alignments, and a divine healing was seen by the witnesses in every place. So are we His witnesses, walking humbly and boldly, abiding and being filled with the same power of the Holy Spirit in this 21st century. The early apostles, followers of Christ. A born-again and spirit-filled discipline and God who is the spirit dwelling in us, in the flesh, enabled us to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, cast out devils, and raise the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit. The power of resurrection. God anointed Jesus Christ with the Holy Spirit, God anointed us with the Holy Spirit was also for this very same purpose, God was sent to destroy the works of the devil. He anointed us with the same purpose, to destroy, dismantle the works of the devil, to continually crush the serpent's head in whatever place we go. While Jesus Christ was on the earth, He was sending His disciples with power and authority. He sent His 12, He sent His 70, He sent His 120…etc. Now He's sending His thousands from every nation, tribe, and tongue and languages to do the same thing, to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils. Freely we received this gift of the Holy Spirit, this power freely we give, for He gives us the power in abundance, more than enough. So let's give away to somebody in need. As the early apostle returned, rejoicing, saying, "Lord, even the devil is subject to us in your name," so are we in our days. You're receiving the breakthrough, you're receiving the answer of prayer, the revelation, knowledge of the power and authority, the word, and the spirit in these end-time seasons of ‘ the glory and war’. As Jesus ordained His disciples, He appointed us. Not to go in our strength, but the strength of the Holy Spirit dwelling inside of us. We do not speak our own Words, we speak the word of a living God, bringing forth deliverance and healing for those who are oppressed. Faith is placed upon those words that are spoken, and the breath of God rests on those words and bringing forth the manifestation of His Word. Jesus Christ, before He ascended into heaven,He gathered His disciples in Jerusalem, and He sent them forth to preach. Before He launched them into all nations, He gave them the Promise of the Father in Luke 24:49. And they obeyed and trusted the promise of the Father, and went to Jerusalem to tarry until they were empowered from on high. Before the days of Pentecost, they were tutored by Christ after His resurrection for 40 days, they were taught on the gospel of the Kingdom of God. And they were divinely commissioned for the next 10 days to go to the upper room and tarry there until they endurd with the power from on high. Even though some five hundred people have seen Jesus after His resurrection, only 120 dedicated ones, the ones who chose to be chosen, committed soldiers of the cross to be baptized with the power of the Holy Spirit and fire. And they left that upper room with that miracle-working power, with that life-transforming power. And the same authority that Jesus was working in His ministry, the same ministry was working in their own. Immediately, Peter and John began to preach and speak the Word of God, and God accompanied that word with signs and wonders and miracles in the anointing of the Holy Spirit. They were gladly receiving the Word of God, and were baptized, some 3000 souls were added unto the first-century church. Two days later, 5,000 souls. Thousands of souls were added to the Kingdom of God daily. There was exponential and supernatural growth with house churches all over the city. The disciples did not sit back. They used the power with it purpose to advance the Kingdom of God, aggressively move forward, and expand the Kingdom of God through the preaching of the gospel of the kingdom. The anointing rested upon them wherever they went. We must do the same in our generation. The Word of God must be like fire in our mouths, and the people like wood consume every trace of sin and addictions of any evil kind. Jesus Christ is the Word, and the Word is the spirit and life in the mouth of His prophets.
