The Apostolic Mission at the End of the Age

The Apostolic Mission at the End of the Age.

The Birth of Redemption

As we reflect on the apostolic mission at the end of the age, we recognize its purpose: to send Jesus Christ into the world. This divine entry came through one of the greatest biological miracles—the conception of the Son of Man. This miraculous event was not just a moment in time; it was the beginning of a divine journey to redeem humanity and restore our relationship with Almighty God, accomplished through the blood of the cross and the power of the Holy Spirit.

In the beginning, the first man, Adam, fell from grace in the Garden of Eden. He committed treason against God by choosing independence and life apart from the divine. He succumbed to the deception of Satan, the father of lies, which led him and his wife, Eve, to lose their intimate relationship with God. This choice came with dire consequences: the curse of sin entered the world, bringing sickness, disease, and spiritual darkness. From that moment forward, all that was evil—stealing, killing, and destruction—took root in the human’s life.

Yet, in this narrative of loss, there lies a promise of redemption. Just as the curse entered through the woman, so too would the blessing come through a woman—Mary, or Miriam, chosen by God to give birth to Jesus Christ, the King of Kings, in Bethlehem. The name Bethlehem means “house of bread,” a fitting title for the birthplace of Jesus, who described Himself as the Bread of Life. He later taught that we are to live by every word that comes from His mouth, inviting us to partake of His flesh and blood through divine revelation.

This redemptive plan was foretold as early as Genesis 3:15, where God declared that one day, the head of Satan would be bruised, stripping him of his authority. It took about 4,000 years for this prophecy to unfold, but throughout history, God has been working meticulously to restore humanity. In every generation, He has had individuals who chose to walk with Him—those who submitted to His will and upheld His commandments.

From the days of Adam, even as sin spread, God found a man named Enoch, who walked faithfully with Him. Later, Noah emerged as another figure of righteousness in a wicked generation. The lineage continued with Seth, Abraham, Moses, Elijah and many others who chose to maintain their relationship with God despite the challenges they faced. Each of these people played a crucial role in God’s mission, persevering through struggles and choosing faithfulness.

Miriam’s selection by the Holy Spirit to bear Jesus was a culmination of centuries of divine preparation. Her city, Bethlehem, was chosen for its significance, and the prophecy of the virgin birth was foretold by prophets like Micah and Isaiah over 700 years prior. In this fulfillment, we find Emmanuel—“God with us”—entering our world, bringing hope and restoration to all of humanity.

As we contemplate the sacrificial love that led to redemption, let us remember the faithful individuals who have walked with God throughout the ages. Their stories inspire us and remind us that God continues to call men and women today to engage in His redemptive work, to live in obedience, and to walk in humility before Him. In this end time mission, we are invited to be part of the divine narrative, embracing the life-changing message of Jesus Christ and the promise of hope that He brings.
