Understanding Prophetic Events: The Kingdom Advancement and the Coming of Christ
Those who are spiritually discerning are not surprised by current events. Born-again believers recognize the season of the kingdom’s advancement. By examining the books of Revelation, Ezekiel, Zechariah, Joel, and Daniel together, we can gain a clear understanding of the times.
Just as in the natural world, the Lord is separating the sheep from the goats. There is a spiritual alliance forming around the Lamb of God, as well as an opposing evil alliance. This coalition includes Russia, Persia (modern-day Iran and Iraq), Ethiopia, Libya, Turkey, various Arab nations, and Egypt, as described in Daniel 11. Russia seeks to cooperate with these nations to seize control of the Middle East as Western influence wanes and Eastern power rises. The "white horse" of Western dominance is fading, while the "red horse" of conflict gallops from Russia toward the Middle East to seize its vast wealth—including oil, gas, the resources of the Dead Sea, and Israel’s industrial and agricultural output, as detailed in Ezekiel 38.
Israel currently dwells in relative safety, likely due to treaties with Western alliances or a revived Roman Empire. However, recent geopolitical tensions reveal that Western and European nations are not truly unified. It appears the Russian invasion will occur around the midpoint of the tribulation. The Ukraine war serves as a precursor, as these forces gain momentum toward the Middle East. Approximately three and a half years after a treaty is signed, this attack on Israel will occur. Though brief, it will be one of the most destructive conflicts in history, with casualties so severe that only one-sixth of the invading force will survive.
Two major developments will follow the defeat of this invasion. First, the Antichrist will use the attack as a pretext to fully occupy Israel under the guise of protection, extending his power globally. Second, the divine protection of Israel, prophesied by Ezekiel and proclaimed by the 144,000 end-time evangelists, will lead many Jews to accept Jesus as their Messiah.
Russia will be driven back to Siberia, as described in Ezekiel 39 and Joel 2:20, where they will regroup before returning to Israel. The intensity of these offensives will escalate until the nations are gathered against Israel at Jerusalem for the Battle of Armageddon, as described in Zechariah 14 and Revelation 16.
For those who are born again, there is no need for fear. We are witnessing the fulfillment of prophecies spoken thousands of years ago. It is a privilege to see these events unfold. Before Christ establishes His kingdom, several key prophecies must be fulfilled: the church must arise as the Father’s house; Gog and Magog will be destroyed on the mountains of Israel; the Antichrist will establish a one-world government and a seven-year peace covenant with Israel; a global apostolic church will emerge; the two witnesses described in Revelation 11 will complete their ministry; and 144,000 Jewish evangelists will arise from every nation.
Furthermore, the seven seals and seven trumpets of judgment must be unveiled. After the two witnesses complete their ministry and are killed, their resurrection by the Holy Spirit will precede the final gathering of the saints to meet the Lord in the air. The Antichrist will then desecrate the temple, demand worship, and break his covenant with Israel after three and a half years. This will trigger the rise of false prophets, great persecution of the Jews—one-third of whom will perish, while others flee to Petra—and the pouring out of the seven bowls of judgment.
Finally, the Battle of Armageddon will occur, followed by the destruction of political and religious Babylon. Jesus Christ will return physically, just as He ascended, to establish His thousand-year millennial reign. Ultimately, a new heaven and a new earth will be established, as described in Revelation 21 and 22. Therefore, children of the Most High, rejoice and remain faithful, for He who began a good work in His disciples will surely bring it to completion.
