Mantle
On April 4th.2023 at the airport in Hatyai, Thailand the mantle was imparted to me during apostle Joshua Tan's prayer for our team. It was his birthday. While he was praying for a team, I’ve seen his spirit man as a mantle or coat that come out of him and was imparted upon me, it when straight into my spirit man. This experience was quite unusual for me. All I could think of is because of faithful obedience in the past task that was given to me, I did with the whole heart as unto the Lord. The importation of the mantle upon me represented a sign of adoption, just as a good father naturally takes good care of his children. All I can do is accept the call of God on m life as the prophet- apostle and keep on ploughing deep and straightforward so that the furrow will be deep enough to receive the seeds of the kingdom. I also believe that the Lord is giving me the deepest desires of my heart. It seems like the Heavenly Father always looking for His loyal and faithful children who would love Him with undivided heart.
2 Chronicles 16:9, For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are blameless toward Him. You have done foolishly in this; therefore, from now on you shall have wars.
The Bible have many examples of faithful followers like Moses had his Joshua, Elijah had his Elisha, Yeshua Fathering the Twelve and Paul would have his spiritual son, Timothy. This generation needs spiritual fathers and sons who would be willing and obedient. From the Biblical examples, we could learn that before the spiritual fathers passed their mantles upon their spiritual sons there were faithful servants. Another wonderful and natural example is David, who was a faithful servant labouring at his father's sheepfold. Yahweh came and took him from his father sheepfold and make him a ruler over Yahweh’s people ( 2 Samuel 7:8-9).
The different mantles that were passed down to the next generation represented the callings and giftings of a person and ministry. We will look closely at some of the biblical examples of passing the mantles to the next generation.
A. Prophet Samuel Mantle
The prophet Samuel's mantle was representing his calling as the prophet and judge of Israel.
We could see that the mantle of the prophet Samuel has transferred to King David when he was anointed as the king of Israel by Samuel.
2 Samuel 7:8-9, Now therefore, thus shall you say to My servant David, 'Says the LORD of hosts: “I took you from the sheepfold, from following the sheep, to be ruler over My people, over Israel.
B. Elijah Mantle
Elijah’s mantle was very extensive; it embraced all he was, a prophet, and national deliverer, the one who controlled the nation in obedience to God. Prophet Elijah cast his mantle upon young prophet Elisha to have his place and stand boldly against the darkness and wickedness of his days ( 1 Kings 19:15-19). From that moment on Elisha was compelled by the Spirit to follow. We could learn from his background that he was from plenty to servanthood without any personal agendas. God was training Elisha as a faithful and humble servant until He decides the right timing for manifestation to Israel. The mantle comes to prophet Elisha and it seems like Elijah does very little to encourage the young prophet to follow him. The reason why Elijah was testing him is to see Elisha's wholehearted determination to receive that precious mantle. Later on Elisha proved that this mantle was made specifically for him awhile, he went with Elijah to Gilgal, Bethel, and Jericho, Jordan. Elijah miraculously opened Jordan (2 Kings 2). Elisha picks up Elijah’s mantle. The mantle is unique and if he was going to walk in its power he had to act. He struck the water and “activated the anointing”. He didn’t miss his opportunity when it is offered and received his double portion which was necessary for his days to stand against the darkness.
No one wants what has been, the new day requires new levels of gift it is a new mantle. We must have and give impartations that will be fitted for the new day. When we receive a mantle it must come in a double portion. The next generation has to have answers for their age and a mantle tailor-made for their culture. The mantle is a living thing constantly infused by the Holy
Spirit. It undergoes continual adaptation to His perfect will for the individual.
You can receive only what Almighty Yahweh has for you if you have genuine faith and the right attitude and walk in humility. Proved to be faithful, needy, hungry and thirsty and learn to distinguish between the calling in ambition.
Dr Annette Wright taught me a conforming lesson “The anointing flowed from certain men and women whom God had anointed and called for their times and these same men and women transferred the same to those that were humble and submitted enough to receive from them. Until this is understood, the Church can never flow in the generational anointing because the essence of impartations that transfer mantles is the father-son relationship. It is against the spiritual order to transfer a mantle to a prodigal or to a servant who has not understood his identity as a son. In the spiritual realm, that cycle would rather stay incomplete until a son is raised in the same line. This is what happened with Elisha’s lineage. He received a mantle from Elijah. This mantle was supposed to be passed on to Gehazi but Gehazi was prodigal in many ways. He was a servant of the man of God without the heart of a son. As such, the anointing was not passed on to him as the person who was next in line. To God, it was much preferable to keep it in the bones of a dead man rather than rest that mantle on the head of an indifferent man. Mantles do not rest on people who are indifferent to this order. Mantles do not rest on mere servants. Mantles rest on true sons
Yahweh Bless you.
